Nick Richards is now a strong trade candidate for the Suns after drafting Khaman Maluach and acquiring Mark Williams.

Richards’ contract becomes guaranteed on June 29th, which could trigger interest from contenders in exchange for second-round draft capital.

Suns GM Brian Gregory said if Khaman Maluach was there at 10th, the Suns would draft him, but told Mat Ishbia that he didn't think the Duke freshman 7-footer would be available at 10.

Brian Gregory said Jordan Ott's experience with defensive bigs like Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley played a role in their decision to draft Khaman Maluach. Said he was watching film with them and he was "critical" in that decision
