He is undoubtedly a top-class horse, and such horse are more likely to overcome difficult obstacles, such as a surface switch, than ordinary horses, but his action in the clip strikes me as that of a turf horse. He appears to be "climbing" a bit, accentuated by his knee action, though to be fair he was not fully extended.
