To fill the defensive void left by Daniel Almazan injury and Tamirlan Kozubaev departure, the club is pleased to announce the signing of Serbian defender Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Mitre, aged 26 and standing at 195 cm, has previously played for several Serbian league teams. During the 2019/20 season, he also joined a Croatian club. Due to academic commitments, he transferred to FK Jedinstvo Surčin in February 2023 till now.
Mitre will wear the number 6 jersey and has already completed a week of training with the team. He expressed his excitement for being in Hong Kong, saying: “It’s an honor to join such a prestigious and historic club. The team atmosphere is excellent, and apart from the weather, I believe I can adapt well in all aspects. The coaching staff has provided me with a detailed overview of the team's current situation. I understand how important every player is to the team, and I am ready to contribute.”
Mitre has completed all registration procedures and is expected to make his debut this Saturday in the first round of the Mong Kok Derby against Kitchee. In addition, the club is planning to sign another player, with further details to be announced later.
