Congratulations to Nicky Kedwards on earning his first cap for the First Team yesterday! Nicky made his debut as a substitute in the 68th minute during our match against Eastern FC in the Sapling Cup.
Since joining our Academy in 2020 at just 13 years old, Nicky has consistently impressed at every age group. Last season, he helped U16 team won U16 FA Cup Champion, and this season, he’s also made his mark in the U22 League, even scoring a goal. We’re excited to see Nicky continue to develop and look forward to seeing him earn more opportunities with the First Team in the future!
Our U18 Academy has seen many players make the step up to the First Team, thanks to their hard work in daily training. Players like James Wright, Calum Bloxham, and Max Chan have all had the chance to sit on the bench or training for the First Team, demonstrating the progress they’ve made. One of our Academy’s key goals is to promote talented young players to the First Team and give them the chance to perform at the professional level. We’re confident that more of our Academy players will make the leap in the future and continue to contribute to the team’s success.
We’re excited for what’s ahead and wish Nicky and all our talented young players the best as they continue to grow! Keep up the great work! 👏⚽
