2024年諾貝爾獎頒布到尾聲,今(14)日公布3位學者共同獲得經濟學獎,分別是達龍·阿傑姆奧盧、西蒙·約翰遜及詹姆士·魯賓遜,獲獎原因為研究社會制度如何形成及影響國家繁榮,解釋了為什麼有些國家富裕而有些國家貧窮,並證明了社會制度對國家繁榮的重要性。
2024年諾貝爾獎繼先前頒發生醫、物理、化學、文學、和平等獎項,今(14)日公布最後一個獎項諾貝爾經濟學獎,由任教於美國的3名學者共同獲獎,分別是來自麻省理工學院的達龍·阿傑姆奧盧(Daron Acemoglu)、西蒙·約翰遜(Simon Johnson),以及芝加哥大學的詹姆士·魯賓遜(James A. Robinson)共同獲獎。
諾貝爾官方公布3人的獲獎原因為「關於研究制度如何形成及影響繁榮」,指出3名獲獎學者的貢獻在於幫助我們理解國家之間繁榮程度差異的原因,同時也證明了社會制度對國家繁榮的重要性。法治較差且剝削民眾的社會,通常無法帶來成長或變得更好,獲獎者的研究即幫助人們理解其中原因。
根據獲獎者的研究內容指出,造成國家繁榮差異的一種解釋是殖民時期引入的社會制度,當貧窮國家在被殖民時,往往會引入包容性制度,長期下來促進了該地區人口普遍繁榮。反之,原本曾經富裕的前殖民地變得貧窮,也是出自同一個原因。
