Message from Prof. Tobias Brandner
Bye-bye, Misha, and thank you!
It is with sadness that I need to inform the CU community of the death of Misha. She had disappeared since Wednesday night to withdraw into solitude and spend her last moments undisturbed.
We are grateful for the long and rich life of Misha, who has reached the high age of 15 years and who has so much enriched the CU community. She was born in our house in 2009, as daughter of Grisha and an unknown father, and spent her life enjoying both being part of our family and having the freedom to roam around in the beautiful campus. Her freedom of being at home yet also free to roam came as a surprise to some of our community and it may well be that one or the other has felt encouraged and inspired in their own quest for freedom.
In her last year, she felt increasingly weak and suffered kidney failure. She follows her mother, Grisha, who has gone ahead of her 8 months ago, and we trust that the two cats will be reunited in cats' heaven.
Thank you, Misha, for the many years that you contributed to our family and also made many members of the CU community happy. We will miss your presence.
