Great post! Thanks! I'm seriously considering some follow-up on this matter. I don't have any legal background but this clearly jeopardizes the customer's rights and maybe it's monkey business involved. I went to the ICAC portal but they only accept reports over the phone or in person. Any thoughts guys? Or should I just move on and fuck it..

Dear Mr. Hayek,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my enthusiasm for the recent release of the Swatch Snoopy watch and to bring to your attention some concerns regarding the distribution process that I encountered during the release event in Hong Kong.
As an avid Swatch collector, I was excited to purchase the Snoopy watch and arrived at the Ocean Terminal Swatch store early in the morning on March 26th. However, upon arrival, I was dismayed to find a significant crowd already gathered, with some individuals claiming to have been waiting since the previous day.
During the event, there was a lack of transparency regarding the availability of the watches, with conflicting information provided by Swatch staff. Despite assurances from some employees that there were limited quantities available and that only a certain number of people would be able to purchase, it became apparent that there were discrepancies in the information provided.
Furthermore, there were reports of individuals exploiting the situation by reserving watches for themselves or their associates, leading to frustration and disappointment among genuine customers who were unable to secure a timepiece.
I believe that such practices not only undermine the integrity of Swatch’s brand but also alienate loyal customers who have supported the company over the years. As a respected leader in the watch industry, I urge Swatch to review its distribution policies and ensure fairness and transparency in all future product releases.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and would welcome the opportunity to discuss it further. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]

I highly doubt that they can find evidence, or if there is any foul play involved. Maybe it’s just part of their hunger marketing, who knows?
It is enough to investigate whether the man carrying the hat mentioned in the reply above communicated with employees of Swatch and disclosed non-public information on this specific product. For instance, where the queue is set, how many stock available for sale, etc. Just from a layman perspective…
