It was previously reported that Jurgen Klopp had identified Borussia Dortmund’s Donyell Malen as a suitable back-up to Mohamed Salah, with a large fee of €60 million being quoted by local reports.
Now the reliable Christian Falk has reported that Liverpool do hold some form of interest in the Dutch wide man.
“I’m not surprised Donyell Malen is on Liverpool’s list, he’s doing very well at the moment in Dortmund,” Falk explained to Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing.
“If somebody’s scoring, it’s usually him; he’s having his best season for Dortmund at the moment.”
Malen has certainly caught the eye on occasion so far this season.
