太平洋表面看似平靜，其實內裏暗藏不同生物之間的生存競賽，從而形成豐富及多樣性的海洋生態。人類卻在這片大海留下難以抹去的傷疤。不過，憑着強勁的自我修復能力，傷痕累累的太平洋正在努力擺脫過去的陰影，不斷孕育一代又一代的新生命。

太平洋裏處處皆是奇觀和奧秘。太平洋麗龜和螢光魷魚會連群結隊湧到海岸，繁殖下一代；在馬爾佩洛島，鯊魚會集體出現，背後謎團人類至今還未解開；六放海綿和早被認為已絕種的豪勳爵島竹節蟲竟然能死而復生；而位於馬來西亞沙巴的海龜之墓更加是令人非常費解。
