亦都有唔少insead, hec呢啲歐洲大學嘅phd係我學校教

Actually clinician always teach the clinical part because they are better than researchers in terms of clinical experience.

又或者undergrad 嘅內容根本就唔使phd嘅老師教
求其搵個undergrad爆gpa嘅人教咪得

所以先有咁多人廢U grad 但係勁U洗底

Ok, but all I was saying is that at Melbourne, many undergraduate subjects in accounting are taught by accountants instead of researchers with PhD. They do the same job, it’s just teaching.

I don’t know about UNSW but at Melbourne, departments of accounting and finance are heavily skewed towards teaching because international students are cash cows. They pay more than 10 times the fee we pay and their fee are used to subsidise more costly subjects like in science and engineering.

You are right, a PhD degree doesn’t make one into a good teacher. Honestly most people don’t like teaching, that’s why universities hire teaching fellows. Almost all teaching fellows in science have PhD, it’s just a culture.

不過上lecture嗰啲全部都phd教喺學校度做研究
墨爾本大學應該都唔例外

At Melbourne, teaching fellow are full time staffs responsible for lecturing, from preparing lecture materials to delivering lectures.

Tutor are usually casual and are PhD students.

I mean lecture. Tutorials are usually taught by honours students in accounting.

Honestly why would you care if the lecturer has a PhD if you were taking accounting subjects?

Again, I don’t know what’s going on at UNSW. I’m just saying accounting and law lecturers at Melbourne aren’t necessarily PhDs.

And tutors are usually honours or master students. I don’t think there are enough phd students in accounting to take all the tutorials.
