First, Hong Kong Police Force is a law enforcement authority and the use of Whatsapp report is a non-personal use, Whatsapp please clarify if such political use by Hong Kong Police Force was already authorized by Whatsapp.
I know Whatsapp cares about users' privacy, but according to Whatsapp's Legal and Acceptable Use, the collection of personal information of pro-democracy protesters greatly infringe their privacy and safety. Also such anonymous reports greatly encourage hateful, threatening and offensive speech and behaviour among the city making Hong Kong citizens living in white terror which is already happening. When a lot of people wearing black T-shirt and masks were detected as punks and were spotted and searched by police without solid reasons, the use of Whatsapp report by Hong Kong is intensifying white terror in Hong Kong.
If the use by Hong Kong Police has not be authorized and has been a violation of the Terms of Service, I request your follow-up action to delete the numbers.
Last but not least, Hong Kong people are now terrified by Hong Kong police brutality and fear of surveillance by Hong Kong and China government. People are afraid to
to speak for what they yearn for, if not masked. Freedom of speech in Hong Kong is lately defined as feel free to speak only in favour of police and government. Our whereabouts has been monitored under Hong Kong government's surveillance through over 50 Smart Lampposts across the city.
Whatsapp please do not be complicity with Hong Kong government's surveillance and Hong Kong police brutality.
Thank you!
