Today, the leader of Hong Kong, Carrie Lam, publicly announced the withdrawal of the extradition bill, one of our five demands.
This, however, does not signify the end of our battle. In the press release, the other four demands are rejected by Lam. This is a flagrant disregard of the voices of two million protestors.
To us, Hongkongers, the protest is now more than fighting against the notorious bill: it is a continuous resistance to the police’s abuse of power and also the unjust political system that has been manipulated by Beijing to slowly deprive us of our freedom.
We shall never surrender.
