Chelsea in Leon Bailey transfer battle with Roma after Barcelona land Malcom
Chelsea are facing competition from Roma for the acquisition of Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.
Roma are on the look out for another wide player after Barcelona, who have ended their interest in Chelsea star Willian, beat them to Malcolm's signature.
With Willian now set to stay at Maurizio Sarri's side, Chelsea are weighing up whether to still make a bid for Bailey.
Roma have been strongly linked with the 20-year-old and Craig Butler, his agent and father, said: “Roma were interested in Leon a couple of years ago, but since then I haven’t heard from the Giallorossi.
"Being linked to a great club like Roma is an honor if it were true. I don’t know if Roma are speaking to some intermediary, but they’d have to talk to me.
"It wouldn’t be wise not to listen to Roma, but always respecting our agreement with Bayer Leverkusen, a club that has my respect.”
