美國國防部長赫格塞斯再度引發爭議！他週四（8/7）晚間在社群媒體轉發一則報導影片，疑似支持傳統派基督教義，也就是女性為男性附屬品，不應享有投票權。
赫格塞斯（ Pete Hegseth）週四晚間在他的X平台帳號轉發一則CNN報導影片。該則長約7分鐘的新聞報導焦點是美國的「改革宗福音派教會聖約團契」（ Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches，CREC）影響力正在逐漸擴大。
CNN記者在導中專訪CREC共同創辦人威爾森（Doug Wilson）。威爾森過去多年以來堅持最極端保守的聖經教義檢視，也就是女性為男性的附屬品，不應有投票權。威爾森同時認為墮胎和同性戀屬於犯罪行為。
在這段報導中，CNN訪問多名隸屬CREC團契牧師。其中一名牧師表示，他贊成撤銷女性投票權，因為「現今社會體制所造成的原子化（atomization，意指分化）對人類並不是一件好事」。另一名牧師則說，他贊成把個人投票改成「家庭投票」，先在家庭中辯論後統一做出投票決定。
CNN同時訪問到一對特地搬到CREC教區的夫妻。記者問太太是否認為丈夫因為身為男性而理應是一家之主時，她回說：「他就是一家之主，而我順從於他。」
威爾森受訪時表示，他的理想就是建立一個由傳統基督教教義領銜的基督國，但他也強調自己不是種族主義者，也不是厭女主義者，會透過傳教逐漸讓世人領悟上帝旨意，並期待在250年後看到真正的基督國出現。
赫格塞斯顯然非常認同CREC的聖經解釋，他在轉發這則影片時發文寫著：「以基督的全部，成就生命的全部（“All of Christ for All of Life）。」這則發文下方有1.2萬人點讚，部分網友同意CREC牧師觀點，部分人則提出警訊稱，美國國防部長正在宣揚基督國理念。
根據CNN報導，赫格塞斯可說是CREC教派在華府的最具政治影響力的信徒。威爾森上月在華府成立新教會時，赫格塞斯帶著妻小前往參加禮拜。
五角大廈發言人帕尼爾（Sean Parnell）週五（8/8）回應美聯社表示，赫格塞斯是很榮幸能成為CREC教會一員，且「非常讚賞威爾森牧師的多個觀點和教義指導」。
