“On July 15, we received the following reply from Abraham Tang and Brian Ho:
“It has been confirmed that the student submitted her project to the competition as early as January 2024. This clearly indicates that the project was completed and formally submitted prior to any involvement from the Al company. Therefore, there is sufficient reason to believe that the work is original and solely authored by the student."
At the end of the email, we were asked to maintain consistency with their messaging and refer all media inquiries to them.
Despite respectfully replying on July 18 and July 23, providing detailed counter-evidence, we received no further response. We delayed any public comment to avoid harming the student's future and to give the institutions space to investigate. But ultimately, the investigation was closed without correcting the record, despite overwhelming documentation to the contrary.”
