Kitchee have confirmed that Leon Jones, Poon Pui Hin, Sohgo Ichikawa, and Yeung Cheuk Kwan will leave the Club upon the expiration of their contracts.
Jones became a crucial player of our backline and made 21 appearances after joining Kitchee in 2024.
Poon became a Kitchee regular when he signed for the Club in 2021 where he made 75 appearances including the AFC Champions League in 2022. The winger, who scored a total of 12 times in the past 4 seasons, also earned his first senior Hong Kong, China call-up during his time at Kitchee.
Graduating from the Club’s Academy to make his First Team debut at the age of 16 in the Sapling Cup final in 2022, Ichikawa made 28 appearances and netted 3 goals. The midfielder went out on a loan at KC Southern in the past two seasons where he helped the team to crown the Sapling Cup champions in the 2024/25 season. His incredible performance also earned himself the “U22 Star of the Star” award. KC Southern will sign Icikawa on a permanent transfer in the summer.
While Yeung Cheuk Kwan, who promoted to the First Team after joining Kitchee U18 in the 2023/24 season, played 10 times and scored one goal in the last 2 seasons.
