Shliakotin could potentially make his international debut against Nepal at Hong Kong Stadium on Thursday.
On June 10, the city team have an AFC Asian Cup qualifier against India, and only after that match at Kai Tak Stadium will Shliakotin start considering transfer offers from Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Shliakotin’s immediate objective is to try to unseat 104-cap Yapp Hung-fai.
“I have huge respect for him, and every goalkeeper, because this is a hard job … but I will do everything I can to show that’s my place,” Shliakotin added.
“I want to squeeze everything from my career. Football gives you emotions – positive and negative – that you can’t experience anywhere else in life.”

兩年前加盟、來自荷蘭的Danielle現時在香港有一份正職，亦預告來季會繼續留港效力。25歲的她被問到會否有朝一日代表港隊時，笑言仍未知自己會否居住7年：「如果會的話也會考慮，眼見隊友們到不同地方比賽，感覺也很有型，替她們開心之餘亦有少許羨慕。」
鍾貝琪6年前曾到蘇格蘭落班，惟外流之旅因疫情中斷。她透露仍有外流之心，同時一直有與不同球會溝通，惟已年屆27歲之下亦要為工作打算：「除非狠心地斷捨離，試一次放低所有事，但後生可以不用擔心收入，現在的年紀都有些取捨，沒有這個膽量，希望好好準備踢完亞冠外再看看有無機會。」她稱與澳洲球會有聯絡，亦希望重返基爾馬諾克，惟因未能再申請工作假證簽證而較難落實。
至於同樣外流後返港的前鋒朱寶恩則感謝教練朱志光的教導：「今年學到好多東西，踢足整季而贏冠軍，入波助攻數字都不錯，算是圓滿結束。」計及今場，朱寶恩全季在聯賽攻入12球創下個人新高，同時亦成為港隊常規入選成員，上周六對不丹一仗正選上陣：「進步一定要有，學到很多東西又有一班好隊友帶著我踢，出到去國際賽也有些不習慣。上場表現差少少，有機會無把握好。」
