由於SEVP termination係冇grace period, 即係話harvard既學生同postdoc三日內如果因為校方唔跪, 佢地status直接失效, 等於滅霸響指mode直接GG.

香港稅局查稅都係差唔多1個月notice, 呢個時間唔算short notice, 仲要咁大間哈佛第二次request時唔show政府

I think CNN interpreted Noam's law incorrectly. From my understanding J1 visitors also need to apply for SEVIS (this is where SEVP steps in). Schools have then need to certify, and send to DOS.
It is DS-2019 form that is maintained by DOS. This is similar to I20 form from F1 students. So not sure CNN is correct. But if J1 is really not affected I am happy to admit my mistake.
