Domestic-only and multilingual versions differ in the account settings and system language that can be used.

With the "Nintendo Switch 2 Japanese/Domestic-only" version, only Nintendo Accounts set to the "Country/Region" of "Japan" can be linked. The system language will also be limited to Japanese only.

If you do not have a Nintendo Account set to "Japan," you will not be able to link the system with a Nintendo Account, and the following features will be unavailable:

With the "Nintendo Switch 2 Multilingual" version, Nintendo Accounts from all countries/regions can be linked, and the system language can be selected from 16 available languages.
