• According to an article published on the Wall Street Journal (WSJ)'s website, one man, who completed a 14-question intake on $HIMS' website, and received a bottle of finasteride pills days later, experienced weird symptoms including anxiety, and dizziness etc. Other side effects of the treatment include sexual dysfunction and depression.
• However, $HIMS told the WSJ that its customers “go through a comprehensive intake that is reviewed by a licensed provider who makes a clinical determination about the patient’s eligibility for medication”.
• Besides, $HIMS communicates transparently with patients “about all essential details and safety information” and customers can ask clinicians about side effects.
• Finally, many men take Finasteride well and find it an effective treatment. According to the WSJ, only ~4% of patients experience side effects.
• I would say side effects are not limited to telehealth companies such as $HIMS. In any drug developed and produced by large pharmaceutical companies such as $LLY or $NVO, there will always be side effects on some people.✅
• ~4% of patients experiencing side effects is really low in my opinion. This highlights the effectiveness of the Drug.✅
