Russia-Israel Trade: In 2022, Russia exported $359M to Israel. The main products that Russia exported to Israel were Diamonds ($104M), Plywood ($42.3M), and Raw Aluminium ($18.4M). Over the past 5 years the exports of Russia to Israel have decreased at an annualized rate of 29.2%, from $2.02B in 2017 to $359M in 2022.

Since the final years of of the Soviet Union, about 1 million people with Jewish roots have immigrated to Israel from Russia and the former Soviet bloc countries. They and their children now make up about 15% to 18% of the Israeli population.

Russian is the major immigrant language of Jews living in Israel. Since 1967, millions of Russian Jews have settled in the country, and a great influx of Jews from the post-Soviet states took place in the 1990s. Today, Russian is used in cultural events, the educational system, and other public domains.
