Shanghai Shenhua have signed Shinichi Chan from Kitchee.
Chan began his professional career at the age of 16 at Kitchee in 2018 and established himself as a key First-Team player since.
After his First-Team breakthrough, the 21-year-old defender has played 100 times for the Club in the past 5 seasons, guiding Kitchee to secure 2 Premier League titles, Senior Shield, FA Cup and Sapling Cup trophies. His stellar displays also earned him the Player of the Match in the Sapling Cup final in 2020. Chan joined Spanish football club Real Unión Club, S.A.D. on loan in the 2022/23 season.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure to play for the Club and have all of your support over the last 6 years. I know it’s never easy to say goodbye, but I think it’s the right time for me to leave, so I can achieve to another level at this moment in my career.” Chan shared his thoughts after his departure has been confirmed.
