杭州亞運已近尾聲，香港代表團周五晚在橋牌項目報捷，勇奪男子團體金牌。這是港團今屆亞運第8金、平了去屆金牌數目，隊員黎偉傑表示彌補去屆亞運拿到男團銀牌的遺憾。
黎偉傑、麥國輝是去屆亞運銀牌成員，今屆終於摘金，黎偉傑賽後喜道：「5年前我們錯失了金牌。自從知道杭州亞運有橋牌項目之後，我們準備了很長時間。隊中只有麥國輝是職業選手，大家都有家庭和工作，但為了目標一起奮鬥了好幾年。」隊友何煒霖說，對手都是全職選手，每日花8小時練習橋牌，他們是每日花8小時工作，放工之後再花幾小時練習：「我們犧牲玩樂時間訓練，甚至去海外參賽，很感激現在終於有回報，也多謝政府有津貼讓我們出外練習及比賽。」
男團金牌以外，顧可容、陳佩怡、黃慧敏、楊凱寧、董秀賢、鄧芷妍也贏得橋牌女團銅牌，今屆橋牌代表隊贏得1金1銅。

香港女子重劍代表佘繕妡，上周在杭州亞運為香港隊奪得一面女子重劍團體賽銀牌後，相隔一周即赴哈薩克，出戰23歲以下亞洲女子錦標賽，並奪得金牌；港隊在賽事中也奪多面個人獎牌。
