She hits the gym and only takes whey protein. As it was really coming out there, rain was splashing against/on/over the windows. The rubbish bin was overflowing with rubbish so her helper put the rubbish out. She put on the news where/which/on which it said/reported due to heavy rain, the ocean was splashing against/on/over (= on and over mean over the pier) the pier. A wasp stung him/He got stung by a wasp before. Some types of bees don't sting. Honey bees actually die after they sting you but they're so protective towards/of their hive they'll take one for the team without hesitation. We originally were going to go to a concert because her father managed to get free tickets but we realized we only had four tickets, meaning that we were two short in which case I said it's OK. The waves swept away people's bags/people's bags out to the sea/into the sea. After the waves subsided, we walked down to the beach. The waters receded/moved further away and left us high and dry. Then we made/took a detour around the fields to avoid the steep cliff path. It was also worth taking a detour to visit the village. Everyone finds her fiancé's brother hostile and touchy/chippy, being easily annoyed or offended so we have to be careful what we say to him/walk/tread on eggshells around him as he's rather touchy, especially about the fact that his wife was married before/about his age. For some people, it's a touchy subject/issue/point, needing to be dealt with carefully/warily/cautiously so we'd better avoid it.
