An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately two furlongs out involving BLESS HIM (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jamie Spencer, and ETONIAN (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Pat Dobbs. Spencer was suspended for 4 days for improper riding for manouvering his mount left-handed when it ought to have been obvious that in doing so, he would cause interference to ETONIAN (IRE) on his outside.
Following the race, William Buick reported that DESERT PEACE (USA), unplaced, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities. H J Horgan reported that SAN ANDREAS (IRE), unplaced, anticipated the start and was slowly away as a result. Andrew Balding reported that SYMBOLIZE (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the Good to Firm ground and would prefer more ease in the surface.
The Starter reported that INTELLOGENT (IRE) was unruly, and very reluctant to enter the stalls. Jane Chapple-Hyam was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
