Zhenya gave an interview to Japanese TV (Fuji TV), in which she supported Kamila Valieva.

“The only problem I feel now is related to her mental health,” Evgenia noted and promised Kamila full support. “I want to support her as much as I can.”

She added that she is physically unable to support people close to her, "because we are in a different bubble, we cannot meet when we want to meet."

Evgenia said that she had been talking to her (Kamila) on her mobile phone and commented on Valieva's current condition: "She is only 15 years old. I can say that she is not okay ... I think this will make her very strong, but now very difficult time,” she sympathized, “I am always with her.”

"We want to leave the world without COVID-19 and without scandals," Medvedeva said at the end. "I just want to enjoy sports. No bad news. That's it."
