Dear Students and Colleagues,
It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the loss of one of our students today. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family.
It is an immensely difficult time for the entire HKUST community and especially for those who were close to him. Beyond extending support to the family, we also ask everyone to be mindful of and help those who might be facing personal challenges. It is important that we proactively offer appreciation, friendship and care.
If you are having difficulty or handling a big problem, please reach out to us, including counseling services, and those around you. If we support each other, there will always be a way!
Again, our heart goes out to his family.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the loss of a student today. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family who lost their loved one.
It is a difficult time for our entire HKUST community. Let us come together to convey our sorrow and stand firmly behind the family and friends of the student. The University has offered assistance to the family, and we ask everyone to support each other and help anyone who is emotionally disturbed. Students who are facing difficulties, please do not hesitate to reach out to our counsellors who are always available to support you. The loss of the student grievously wounds us all. While grieving, we must remember that no problem is too big to solve, and always look on the bright side and reach out for support if you lose your way.
