Those granted limited permission under this route are not currently eligible for home fee status or student finance as a separate category in the fees and student support regulations. We have asked that this be reconsidered.

However, settlement is available after five years in this route, or after five years in a mixture of routes leading to settlement. Routes leading to settlement do not include Student, Child Student, Start-up, Youth Mobility, or the Graduate route once introduced. Most other work routes lead to settlement.

Once granted settlement, a student potentially becomes eligible for home fee status and student finance. In most cases, the student must have had settled status on the relevant day or the first day of the first academic year of the course so cannot become eligible if they have already started their course.

香港bno移民到埗後可以登記做選民，之後一齊揾mp傾。而家有policy俾home fee refugees, 或者可以引用嚟為bno學生爭取。
