柏林電影展組委會宣布，2021年第71屆柏林影展將繼續以「實體」形式舉辦。

從第71屆開始，電影節將不再設立以性別區分的最佳男演員和最佳女演員，將以最佳主角與最佳配角替代。

從今年開始停止頒發的亞佛雷德鮑爾獎（Silver Bear Alfred Bauer Prize）將不會出現在往後的電影節中，將以評審團獎（Silver Bear Jury Prize）替代。

換句話講，柏林影展主競賽單元將頒發8個獎項：


金熊獎 Golden Bear for Best Film (awarded to the film’s producers)

評審團大獎 Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize

最佳導演 Silver Bear for Best Director

評審團獎 Silver Bear Jury Prize

最佳主角獎 Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance

最佳配角獎 Silver Bear for Best Supporting Performance

最佳劇本獎 Silver Bear for Best Screenplay

最佳技術成就獎 Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution
