Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my concern about the integrity of Tong Tak On from Diocesan Boys’ School, which will soon start his tertiary education in the States.
According to a recent article featuring students with outstanding performance in the International Baccalaureate by Stand News (A Hong Kong-based news platform), Mr. Tong Tak On, a student from Diocesan Boys' School,HK who scores a total of 44 marks and be accepted by the Duke University claimed that THE NATIONAL SECURITY LAW WILL IMPROVE THE SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT OF HONG KONG. The National Security Law, is an unjust law that deprives Hong Kongers of their basic rights and freedoms which has been condemned by the head of different states.
Tong, the son of a committee member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference also claimed that THE RULE BY LAW HAS PRECEDENCE OVER FREEDOM, and ON THE BASIS OF THE “ONE COUNTRY TWO SYSTEM” PRINCIPLE , PROSPERITY AND STABILITY WILL ONLY BE ESTABLISHED WHEN THE COUNTRY’S SECURITY IS GUARANTEED.
It is my deepest concern that approving the VISA application of a student who supports the suppression of basic human rights will possibly pose threat to your country. Meanwhile, I sincerely suspect that he may be involved in spying activity while studying in your school, as his father is one of the committees of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Therefore, it is hope that the VISA application of Mr Tong could be reconsidered seriously. And if the application has been approved already, I hope the VISA can be revoked promptly.

反修例風波衝突加劇，家庭與學校合作事宜委員會主席湯修齊在出席電台節目時表示，近幾個月社會事件，令他發現大專教育在德育上有所不足，強調校長及校董要加強「先教學生做人，再教知識」的信念。
湯修齊表示，自己早前在大學校董會上已經有提出德育教育的重要性，大學有責任培養學生正向的價值觀，認同相比起知識，教懂學生待人處事比較重要。
委員會委員方奕展強調，家庭對青年成長很重要，認為如果家長與子女溝通得好，有助改善社會情緒。他又指，家長體諒大學校長不容易，校長一定不是普通人，其身教很重要，期望他們能在事件中表現出文人風骨。
浸會大學持續教育學院副院長李南玉就指，對過去一周發生的事件感到心痛，強調家長教導子女並非只追求知識，而是讓子女從錯誤中學習和成長。她又認為家長的眼界以及一言一行，都會對子女造成影響，父母亦要接受自己的不完美，自身需要成長。
