外人只會睇結果，而成功係講緊「運氣 / 際遇」+「能力」，缺一不可。

經agent refer去recruiter有可能但其實唔需要。如果code jam高名次會有recruiter搵。

如果睇 leetcode rank，我覺得好大盲點就係請到啲 logic 底 / 刷題好勁但唔夠 software design 經驗嘅 code monkey

如果睇 open source contribution / project references，我覺得會公平啲

就算未除稅香港first tier 既IT 公司都係高

唔可以淨睇人工（salary），equity（stock，options）可以係整體報酬嘅重要部份。

120K salary is quite common for entry level SWE here among big firms. I would say 170K fresh grad total comp. (salary + stock + bonus) for big IT firms here is not that far-fetched. After 1/3 tax you probably net 110K per year as a fresh grad.

Last time I check, one still have to pay tax in HK. So one would need to make more than 110K USD per year in order to have the amount after tax.

You can go to NYC if you don't like Silicon Valley. Seattle is also not that far behind I think. There are several tech hubs in the US, not just the Valley.

我對上個間公司係valley hq 同east coast office 人工一樣
宜家個間好似係valley平均會多10k左右
不過我唔想去

Yes a few towns on the east coast had a lot of jobs (at least before this shit), if you don’t care about the weather lol.
Boston for biomeds, DC for government / ngo / defense, Pittsburg if you are into self driving cars. Austin was also a boomtown for techs.

俾我後生20年再揀，我會想去NYC，倫敦，巴黎或東京。矽谷人工係好但以一個香港長大嘅人講生活比較平淡。不過而家一家大細要走都走唔到，而且細路成長環境呢度算好好。
