but where such person is detained in custody he shall be brought before a magistrate as soon as practicable, unless within 48 hours of his apprehension a warrant for his arrest and detention under any law relating to deportation is applied for, in which case he may be detained for a period not exceeding 72 hours from the time of such apprehension.
但如該人被扣留羈押，則須在切實可行範圍內盡快帶到裁判官席前，除非在他被拘捕後48小時內，一項逮捕及扣留令的申請已根據任何有關遞解出境的法律提出，則該人自他被拘捕時起計可被扣留不超過72小時。
