1. Liberate Hong Kong; the Revolution of Our Times

2. Free Hong Kong; Democracy Now

3. Free Hong Kong; Revolution Now

In my opinion, the first one is the most accurate and suitable translation.

Also, if we all generally agree to a certain version,
can we only use that version for printing leaflets and flags in the future?

Unifying the slogan is very important in promoting something, especially protests, which require the power of news media very much.

我覺得唔使一定要照翻譯
用”Fight for freedom Stand with Hong Kong”就可以

For me , I think Free Hong Kong ; Democracy Now is better .

I think we can still yell 2 and 3
but 1 should be used on paper works and art works

I’m not sure which is most accurate, but as a westerner I find #1 most impactful.

"Liberate Hong Kong" is the closest translation to the first part of the slogan. However, the word may carry different meanings for people outside of HK. While "Revolution of Our Times" is an accurate literal translation, it omits some crucial meanings behind. The second part of the slogan can only be understood perceptually.

I believe #2 "Free Hong Kong; Democracy Now" is the best overall English adaptation for non-HK people. People who choose #1 are those already familiar with the original Chinese version of the slogan to not get confused.

光復香港! 時代革命!
