Many of you may say, when the protests are threatening the police's life, the police have the right to use force (gunfire) for self-defense.
Looking into the video, the police was holding the gun pointing and proceeding to the protesters, which is an offensive move, instead of defending himself by falling back. When you have the choice to dismiss the protesters, using baton or firing a warning shot, he chose pointing the gun towards the protesters this is not self-defense.
Firing bullet towards protesters is foreseeable since the Police dehumanize the protesters by labeling them as cockroaches or calling them as objects. This dehumanization act has let the Police feel nothing but hate towards the protesters, making them as enemies, someone to be defeated.
This is what the police wanted to do, holding the gun, pointing to protesters, stepping forward, put himself in danger and acquire the excuse to make the shot.
