粵典的編撰就是這樣運作，各人分工協作、各司其職。最終，即使自己不是專家，透過集體提案、編著和覆核，也可以一起做出一件專業的成品。而成員本身來自不同的工作領域，也帶來另一個好處：「建立完整的粵語辭典必須依靠很多不同行業和生活習慣的人，因每個人有自己的局限，知道一些獨有的用語。」
