Inter Complete Loan With Obligation Deal For Cagliari Midfielder Barella
Inter have reached a full agreement with Cagliari to sign Nicolò Barella, according to Sky Sport.
The midfielder will join on a loan deal worth €10 million with an obligation to buy for €30 million, but the final fee could rise as high as €50 million. Inter will also include €10 million in add-ons for Barella, but €5 million will be easy to activate while the other €5 million are harder to trigger. It is therefore likely that the total fee Cagliari will receive is €45 million, slightly short of their original €50 million asking price.
Barella is on holiday at the moment after representing Italy at this summer’s European Under-21 Championships, but he is ready to return for a medical at any moment. Antonio Conte might be able to include the 22-year-old in his squad for Inter’s preseason tour of Asia, for which they will fly out on 18 July.
Barella has been adamant for weeks that Inter were the only club he wanted to move to, and it looks as if his dream is about to become reality.
