Daengdaengii (댕댕이) is a term Koreans use to refer to cute dogs (throw 댕댕이 into Google Image search to get an idea). Yoojung's cuteness is much like a puppy (many say she's beagle-like),so K-netz put the 'Yoo' (유) in her name and the 'daeng'(댕) from daengdaengii to make the nickname Yoodaeng (유댕).

Yoodaeng and Yoodaengie are by far the most common nicknames used for Yoojung and as a result, K-netz often use the 'daeng' in Yoodaeng to create ship names, including DoDaeng. The 'Do' in Doyeon and the 'daeng' from Yoodaeng to create DoDaeng (도댕), which in Korean sounds a lot cuter than DoJung/other alternatives.
