Losing Silva during such a busy period of fixtures could have a serious effect on City’s season, but there is some hope that it may not be too serious.
Speaking to City TV after today’s disappointment in London, youngster Phil Foden revealed that he has spoken to El Mago about the injury.
“I spoke to him at the end and he said he’s got a tight hamstring, so hopefully nothing too serious,” Foden said.
Silva will undergo tests from City’s medical staff and would appear to be a major doubt for Wednesday night’s Champions League game against Hoffenheim, which could see Foden himself get a rare start in Pep Guardiola’s XI.
