Since the OP already spent 7 years in the UK (24-17), he should qualify for long resident Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after another three years in the UK.

Please note that there is a residence requirement that you spent less than 540 days outside of the UK in the last 10 years.
Once you have ILR, you will be able to naturalise (under section 6 of the British Nationality Act 1981) or register (BN(O) passport holders - under section 4 of the British Nationality Act 1981) to become a British Citizen a year after having ILR.
