1989年，香港人透過電視機見證柏林圍牆倒下；今天，在柏林圍牆，我們聽見香港人的聲音，看到港人熟悉的風景——連儂牆。
沿途不少德人駐足，有人拿起紙筆，寫下「Eier gegen Wand」，意指「雞蛋與高牆」，亦有留言支持香港守護法治、香港不是中國等德語字句。現場有不少德人表示一直關注香港事態發展。
今晚港人經歷新城市一役，也許這不是個絕好的時機，但是在德國的港人想告訴大家，世界正在注視香港，請不要放棄，民主總會戰勝。
Lennon Wall Blossoms on Berlin Wall
Hongkongers watched on TV as the Berlin Wall fell in 1989. Today, Hongkongers’ voice is heard where the Wall used to be. Lennon Wall messages spread on the Berlin Wall. Locals and tourists stopped to read and write messages - messages like ‘Eier gegen Wand’ (eggs against wall), ‘Unsere Justizsystem schützen’ (protect our judiciary), and ‘Hongkong ist nicht China’ (Hong Kong is not China). Passers-by said they had been paying heeds to the situation in Hong Kong.
It might be the darkest time yet, but Hongkongers in Germany would like to send their support home to their comrades - the world is watching and democracy shall prevail. Hang in there!
